TOP QUESTIONS FROM BASEL newcomers

We are a group of volunteers who remember what it was like moving to a new place and finding it difficult to find the information we needed. Some of us are Swiss and some of us moved to Switzerland from other countries. 

We run this site as a  community service, not a business. That means it is free of charge, no strings attached. Hallo Basel  is simply a friendly, free service offered by people who remember what it was like to be new.

We are real people, all experienced at living and working in Basel. We each have different areas of knowledge and so can answer a variety of questions about Basel and life in Switzerland. We answer your questions about Basel.

The team is organised by Crossroads International Church in Basel with the single goal to help you settle into your new city as effortlessly as possible!

We created this website to offer  information about Switzerland and Basel in particular. Where relevant we link to official sites so you can be sure the information is reputable. This site is a starting point to find accurate, up to date, helpful information about living in Basel.

What makes us stand out from other web-resources is that we also make ourselves available to answer your questions personally by email or over the phone free of charge and with no obligation.
